There’s good news for many people that are buying or selling a home right now: the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has just partnered with DocuSign to provide Realtors with faster, easier, paperless transactions! But how does this help you?
DocuSign is software that allows Realtors and their clients to sign and send documents through email. Instead of receiving an offer and driving all the way across town to get their clients to sign it, with DocuSign Realtors can just email the document, their clients can click a button that is equivalent to signing it, and it can be sent right back. There’s no need to print, scan, fax, or wait days for a signature. The signature can be signed on a computer, a laptop, or even a mobile phone. As long as your Realtor can send it to you, you can receive it.
Realtors must first be a member of CREA to use DocuSign (unless a member of another association that uses the software.) Once they are, they can offer it to all of their clients and start marketing themselves as an agent that can get the job done more efficiently, and more effectively.
